YSEQ's $17.50 test for SNP A6294 was discovered via FTDNA's Big Y test of my DNA.
Any man who tests positive for this SNP descends from my branch of the descendants of Sir John Stewart of Bonkyll (died 22 July 1298 at the Battle of Falkirk).
Web pages for Sir John's descendants are at https://www.familytreedna.com/groups/r-s781/about/background and https://www.yfull.com/groups/r-s781/ .
The nine SNPs listed below were discovered via my Big Y test. Some descendants of Sir John may test NEGATIVE for some of these SNPs.
1) 14005493 GA / A11239 can be ordered at https://www.yseq.net/product_info.php?products_id=30160 and is RECOMMENDED.
2) 14200031 AG / A6293 can be ordered at https://www.yseq.net/advanced_search_result.php?keywords=A6293 and is RECOMMENDED.
3) 7538242 CT
4) 7699499 CT
5) 9511177 CT
6) 15861256 CT
7) 22461955 CG
8) 9146901 GA / A6294 is NOT recommended. It is 95.1% similar to another sequence on chromosome Y, but can be ordered at https://www.yseq.net/product_info.php?products_id=12172 anyway.
9) 6188606 AG / A5021 is NOT recommended. It is 99.3% similar to another segment on chromosome Y.
Please email to DF41L745@gmail.com the positive and/or negative results of your test(s) for any of the above SNPs so that I may identify some of your own terminal SNP(s).
1) My (ID YF02381) Y-DNA500 STR test results are at https://www.yfull.com/groups/r-s781/cstr/ .
2) My (ID 143035) Y-DNA111 STR test results are at https://www.familytreedna.com/public/Stuart/default.aspx?section=yresults .
3) My YSEQ ID is 486.
4) FTDNA, 23ANDME and Ancestry.com tested my autosomal DNA. My slipshod pedigree charts at Ancestry.com are at http://wc.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=PED&db=stewrt&id=P1&style=TEXT and at http://trees.ancestry.com/tree/81047841/family . I also have a pedigree chart at http://www.myheritage.com/
YSEQ's $17.50 test for SNP S310 (a.k.a R-L746) may prove that a man is a patrilineal descendant of the first High Steward of Scotland (R-P312/S116 _ L21/S145 _ DF13 _ Z39589 _ DF41/S524 _ S775 _ L746).
YSEQ's $17.50 test for SNP S781 (R1b1a2a1a2c1i1a1) may prove that a man descends from Sir John Stewart of Bonkyll (died 22 July 1298 at the Battle of Falkirk). Web pages for his descendants are at https://www.familytreedna.com/groups/r-s781/about/background and https://www.yfull.com/groups/r-s781/ .
YSEQ's $17.50 test for SNP Y14197 may prove that a man descends from King Robert II of Scotland (c1316 - 1390) via his son John Stewart (c1360 - c1448), Sheriff of Bute. See https://www.familytreedna.com/public/Stewart-Bute .
YSEQ can NOT create a test for SNP ZZ52. It is associated with descendants of Sir JOHN STEWART, BARON of AUCHINGOUN & BLACKHALL (died ~1412), son of King ROBERT III according to Bannockburn project researchers at STRATHCLYDE UNIVERSITY in Glasgow. See http://www.strath.ac.uk/cll/cpd/genealogicalstudies/bannockburn/ , http://www.strathgenealogy.org.uk/projects/bannockburn-genetic-genealogy-project/ and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Bannockburn.
